Health Statistics:

  • Global Health Observatory - The World Health Organization's health statistics are found on this site. You can find country data, statistics, and also an analysis of global, regional, and national health trends.
  • Centers for Disease Control - The CDC aggregates statistics on topics such as life expectancy and chronic diseases in the United States. It also provides CDC initiatives, population surveys and indicators, and tools to sort data.
  • Dartmouth Atlas of Healthcare - Answers the question, how are medical resources used in the United States? Search by year, state, region, hospital, or topic. 
  • HCUPnet - The Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP), supported by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, provides access to health statistics and information on hospital inpatient and emergency department utilization. 
  • National Center for Health Statistics - The NCHS is by the CDC and provides statistical information that will guide actions and policies to improve health. 
  • World Bank - Contains a bulk of information including data, results, and research on multiple countries.
