  • Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) - free electronic version of the Code of Federal Regulations and includes tabs that provide current updates for the section and rules from the Federal Register.
  • Congress.gov - full text coverage of legislative information from 2001 to present.
  • CourtListener - comprised of over 204,000 documents, including most of the U.S. Supreme Court records dating back to 1754, and it also provides access to the non-precedential opinions of the U.S. circuit courts.
  • Federal Judicial Center - contains research on federal court operations and procedures and court history.
  • FindLaw - articles about common legal topics
  • Legal Information Institute - contains Supreme Court decisions and materials to help people understand law.
  • Lumen - clearing house for information regarding First Amendment protections and intellectual property laws as they relate to online activities.
  • Neighborhood Legal Services - Pittsburgh on-profit organization created to assist low income residents with legal counsel
  • Oyez: US Supreme Court Media -"... aims to be a complete and authoritative source for all audio recorded in the Court since the installation of a recording system in October 1955."
  • PA State Code - official publication of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. 
  • Pittsburgh Legislative Information Center - a way to track and retrieve legislation.
  • Public Library of Law - world’s largest online database of United States law; includes case law, statutes, regulations, court rules, constitutions, and legal forms. 
  • United States Code - a consolidation and codification by subject matter of the general and permanent laws of the United States.
  • United States Supreme Court - official website of the Supreme Court of the United States. 

Cite in APA Style
